Basics of Behaviour Change in Collaboration with the Florida Association of Zoos and Aquariums

This workshop will provide an introduction to the discipline of conservation behaviour change, and how it can be applied to your work. Over the course of the workshop, participants will be guided through how to plan a behaviour change campaign, the tools and techniques used to design an intervention, and how to monitor and evaluate behavioural outcomes. Participants will be encouraged to bring their own projects to the workshop, to jump-start their planning for relevant education, outreach, or conservation activities, and will receive guidance regarding further tools or resources which may help to advance their goals. 

This training is aimed at AZA practitioners working across conservation, education, and community engagement. Participants do not need to have any experience with behaviour change or strategic planning; more experienced attendees should expect to gain advanced skills in designing for behaviour change.
